We’ll listen to what you’re looking for, discuss your goals and preferences, and explain the services and next steps clearly.
Please let us know about any accessibility, cultural, language or communication needs before your appointment. This may include wheelchair access, an Auslan or spoken-language interpreter, Easy Read information, support with forms, additional processing time, a preferred communication method or having a family member, advocate or support person involved.
Before regular supports begin, we’ll discuss the service arrangements, fees and responsibilities with you. We’ll also arrange suitable introductions with the people who will be supporting you.
Your comfort, communication preferences and right to feel informed and involved will remain central throughout the process.

Yes. You have choice and control over the providers you work with and may change providers if your needs or preferences change.
Check your service agreement for any required notice period or cancellation terms, and speak with us so we can support a safe and organised transition. The NDIS confirms that participants may change providers, subject to the arrangements in their service agreement.
-
Yes. We recognise that culture, language, family and lived experience shape each person’s support journey.
Sidra Care welcomes people from culturally and linguistically diverse communities, and Arabic-speaking support is available. Interpreter assistance can also be discussed where required. Interpreting arrangements through TIS National can be accommodated for participants.

Sidra Care main office is based at 3 Amy Street, Regents Park NSW 2143 and supports participants across Western Sydney and surrounding areas.
Service availability may depend on the type of support requested, travel requirements and current team capacity. Contact us with your suburb or postcode and we’ll confirm whether we can support your area.
-
We aim to provide support in the environment that is most comfortable, practical and appropriate for each person.
Depending on the service, supports may be delivered:
at our Regents Park clinic
in your home
at school, work or another suitable setting
in the community
by telehealth
We’ll discuss your goals, preferences and support needs with you before deciding on the most suitable setting.
-
Yes. You can refer yourself, or a referral can be made by a family member, nominee, Support Coordinator, Recovery Coach, allied health professional, hospital, community service or another person supporting you.
Where another person makes the referral, they must have your consent or the authority to act on your behalf.
-
Sidra Care can work with participants whose supports are:
NDIA-managed
plan-managed
self-managed
Participants with NDIA-managed funding must use registered providers for those supports. Plan managers pay providers from plan-managed funding, while self-managed participants or their representatives manage payments themselves.
You can contact us if you are unsure how your funding is managed.

Medicare referrals are accepted for eligible therapeutic supports where the service is delivered by a Medicare-registered practitioner.
You will generally need to see your GP first. Your GP may prepare a GP Chronic Condition Management Plan and provide a referral for eligible allied health services, including occupational therapy, speech pathology, dietetics and psychology.
Eligible patients may access up to five Medicare-subsidised allied health services per calendar year, shared across the services included in their plan.
Mental health treatment plans have separate eligibility requirements and can only be used with eligible Medicare-registered mental health practitioners.
Please contact Sidra Care before booking so we can confirm whether the service and practitioner are Medicare eligible and advise you of any gap payment.
-
Before ongoing supports begin, Sidra Care will provide a service agreement outlining the supports being delivered, where and when they will occur, the agreed fees, payment arrangements, responsibilities and how services may be changed or ended.
Service agreements help participants and providers share a clear understanding of what has been agreed.
We will explain the agreement and answer your questions before any intake is finalsed.
